(POLL) Trump more trusted on border security
Description
The following is from Rasmussen Reports.
A recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey reveals that 50% of likely voters say they trust former President Donald Trump more on the issue of border security. In contrast, 43% say they trust President Joe Biden more.
When it comes to party lines, Republicans overwhelmingly show support for Trump, with 81% saying they trust him more on this issue. Democrats, on the other hand, strongly back Biden, with 84% saying they trust him more on border security.
The survey also highlights a significant split among independent voters. Nearly half (48%) of independents say they trust Trump more on border security, compared to 41% who say they favor Biden’s approach.
Another key finding from the survey shows that concerns over border security remain high. Nearly half of voters say they believe that the Biden administration’s policies have worsened the situation at the border.
The survey of 1,095 likely voters was conducted on September 15-17, 2024. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
