#01 - Aurko Mahapatra - Provocative Thoughts
Update: 2020-06-21
Description
People! Welcome to the first episode of A Glass For Two. I am officially no longer a podcast virgin!
In this episode, I'm joined by a good friend of mine, Aurko Mahapatra. Together, we take a deep dive into a variety of different provocative topics; we discuss India's migration crisis, mental health, recreational drug usage, and gender oppression. There are so many pieces of content that we discuss, so make sure you get through the whole thing!
Unfortunately, I did come across a few technical issues, later on, however, I deemed the content too valuable not to share. So please bear with us if you hear any static later on in the podcast. I also want to mention that I deliberately decided to keep the editing to a minimum, because I wanted our conversation to mimic discussions you all may have had in your own personal lives. Hit me up if you got through the podcast, and let me know what you think!
NOTE: This episode was recorded weeks before the escalation of the Black Lives Matter movement, upon recording, the unfortunate passing of George Floyd was a recent occurrence. We shoot the shit a lot in this podcast, but I believe it is necessary to say that such treatments of police brutality and racial discrimination is absolutely abhorrent. It should not stand, and as I said in the podcast, I'm glad to see the unification brought forth by this unfortunate incident.
