Qi has a Master in Design Studies Degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Master of Architecture Degree from University of Southern California. In 2014, he co-founded Modelo, a web-based presentation and collaboration platform for architects and engineers who work with CAD tools including Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, VectorWorks etc.

Founded by an architect and an industrial designer fed up with the tools available to them, the company’s mission from the start has been to bring joy and efficiency to the collaboration, presentation and project management functions of creative design teams. Today, Modelo is used by architecture, engineering, construction, real estate and commercial planning industries internationally.
