Jessie Bryant of TSheets Time Tracking for Payroll in an interview by Kathy Hahn says she has a “fun” job in working with accounting professionals, in her position as Accountant Programs Director with TSheets, the payroll tracking system that integrates with QuickBooks.  She gets to help develop programs, do trainings, offer support, assist with marketing and campaigns, and attend tradeshows out in the field to support the accounting professionals she works with.

The TSheets solution is an automated time tracking for payroll and it works with both QuickBooks for Desktop or QuickBooks Online Versions as well as many other accounting software platforms. The sync manager within QuickBooks automatically connects TSheets with QuickBooks and can be used on the desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile platforms. They are a web based system which means the TSheets system can be accessed anytime as long as you can get online to connect with the designated URL as provided when signing up. Time can be approved prior to sending over to QuickBooks and can be associated with a customer and job name so that time can flow through to the customer invoice and can be included in job costing. TSheets can associate both payroll items and service items within QuickBooks which allows for detailed payroll and payroll reporting of the tracked time, and it can be associated with vendors if desired. TSheets includes a GPS tracker, and the “crew app” for Android is built in to allow for a manager to report time for groups of workers, the “crew app” for iPhone is coming soon. Notes can be included on the time sheet and will show up in the description field in QuickBooks. Basic scheduling is a current feature within TSheets, and custom fields can be utilized for further personalization.

There are many benefits for using TSheets including time savings, administrative preparation costs, monetary costs of additional overtime and/or benefits associated with over reporting of payroll hours, every entry is time stamped and can be included as an audit trail with detailed time tracking logs. They are DOL compliant and DCAA compliant for those working with government projects and they just completed payroll mapping for prevailing wage clients to utilize with QuickBooks.
