Boyfriend and girlfriend of only a couple months, Jason Serres and Sandra Scheller packed up their small apartment in Philly and moved out to San Diego on a whim. As they settled into their new city, they realized it was lacking a good, local coffee shop. A little market research and some family help to develop a business plan, they were on their way to open a 3rd wave coffee shop in East Village, a trendy up-and-coming neighborhood with a ton of potential.
Sandra shares what it takes to start a coffee shop, the secrets to surviving the competition and the most rewarding aspects of being a lifestyle entrepreneur.
