Nicholas Ley is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Oklahoma City, Okla.
As one half of the Flaming Lips' drumming duo, the Brothers Grïïīn, Nicholas has performed live on five continents as well as headlined countless festivals including Bonnaroo, Sydney Festival, and Iceland Airwaves. He’s also performed on various television shows including “Saturday Night Live,” “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “The MTV Video Music Awards,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “Conan,” and IFC's hit sitcom “Portlandia.” Most recently, the Flaming Lips collaborated with Miley Cyrus on her latest release, “Miley Cyrus and her Dead Pets” and served as her backing band in support of her “Milky Milky Milk” tour.
