049 - An Inerrant Idol w/ Alex DeMarco
Description
Thinking Out Loud is a place to digest audibly the things we tend to think through silently. We'll look at a variety of complex issues from a variety of points of view, not necessarily to get to "right answers" but to build empathy and perspective.
On this week's episode, Rob Cook and I are joined by Alex DeMarco. Alex is a project editor for Baker Academic and Brazos Press, my college buddy, and author of this article: Sacrificing LGBTQ+ Well-Being and More on the Altar of an Inerrant Bible. This was published after Cairn University made the decision to disband their entire Graduate and Undergraduate Social Work programs. Rob, Alex, and I discuss the article, Cairn's decision, and the inerrancy of the Bible.
