Doug Talks About: When the FDA makes mistakes

Sadly, the word “trust” and the acronym “FDA” have become antonyms. Someone’s got to make unbiased decisions using honest scientific data to drive those decisions. But I believe that sometimes in high places money muddies the “approval process” water. Foods and drugs get approved that perhaps shouldn’t have. We consumers pay the price when this happens. On Monday from 2-3PM Central Time, you will learn about two FDA approvals, one in 1969 dealing with a fungal mycotoxin added to our food supply and one in 2021 dealing with the controversial approval of a vaccine.
