Description

In the first episode of the new series, Ludovic Phalippou and Vindi Banga discuss the sometimes controversial world of private equity.

Ludo and Vindi explore how many private equity-backed companies weathered the Covid-19 crisis well, and address some of the controversial issues associated with the sector – typically high levels of debt have led to the collapse of some potentially viable companies, while many PE-controlled companies had to be ‘rescued’ by the tax-payer.

Featuring:

Ludovic Phalippou (@lphalippou81), Professor of Financial Economics, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Vindi Banga, partner, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
