1 Timothy 2:1-7 – Have You Prayed Today?
Description
When the news feels dark and divided, Paul gives Christians a clear first priority: pray. In 1 Timothy 2:1–7 we’re urged to offer all kinds of prayers for all kinds of people — including leaders we dislike — because such prayer pleases God. God desires people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and there is only one way to Him: one God and one Mediator, Jesus Christ. The stakes are eternal, so the church must be a praying people for neighbors, enemies, and rulers alike.
“There is one God. There is one Mediator: Jesus Christ. So we pray for all people, because God desires all kinds of people to be saved.”
