In this second-to-last sermon through Genesis, we explore the powerful prophetic blessings Jacob gives to his sons, with a special focus on Judah. Through Judah’s prophecy in Genesis 49, we see four vivid images that point to Jesus: the Lion, the Scepter, the Colt and Vine, and the Wine and Blood. Each image reveals a different aspect of Christ’s character, including His victory, rule, abundance, and sacrifice. This passage calls us to trust in Jesus, live in His victory, and respond with grateful obedience.

He’s blood-soaked, but undefeated. He’s scarred, but risen. He’s pierced, but still reigning.
