The city of Los Angeles is under quarantine, surrounded by an impenetrable wall, and run by a powerful corporation. Richard "Bruiser" Brusman is an ex-cop, now all-purpose heavy, navigating the seedy underworld of "The Hothouse." When a sniper targets the defacto boss of the city, Bruiser must put himself in the crosshairs to stop him.
