#102 Overcoming Obstacles and Finding a Way to Succeed: Lessons from a Walk-On with Coach Randy Birch
Description
Randy Birch is a devoted father and husband with two daughters. Coach Birch was born and raised in Shelby, NC and played college football at Western Carolina University. For the past 15 years, Randy has been a high school football coach and teacher. He has spent the past 11 years at historic Gaffney High School, where he currently holds the titles of Co-Defensive Coordinator, Assistant Strength Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator.
In 2021, his team achieved a perfect 15-0 season and won the 5A state championship, adding to the school's impressive 18 state championship titles. I am passionate about using athletics as a tool to help young people make positive changes in their lives and achieve their goals on and off the field.
