David Polakoff is a familiar face on the waters of New York Harbor and Long Island Sound, and down in the Caribbean's sailing playground, the British Virgin islands. He's a man with a busy life and a busier lifestyle. As well as a corporate gig in NY's startup scene, he's a sailing instructor and skipper with the mind of an historian. His website (northriversailny.wordpress.com) is a compendium of all things New York that relate to sailing, the history of the rivers, the bays and the people.
