117: Hardware Acceleration with ROS2 Round 2
Update: 2023-02-13
Description
I would like to dedicate this episode to all the developers working on building small robots for practice while studying ROS. There are very few ROS-based robots for students that are reliable.
Today we are going for the second round about using hardware acceleration to improve our robots with ROS2.
But before going into the meat, let me tell you that in case you need to improve your ROS skills, you can learn ROS2 with The Construct.
We provide self-led trainings based on robot simulations and remote real robots.
You follow our lessons using your web browser and practice from minute one with the simulated robots. Also, as you advance the lesson, you will practice with real robots located in Barcelona. They are available 24/7 for you to remotely connect to them and do your practice. Have a look at our webpage about the different subjects you can learn on ROS1 and ROS2 and start the practice with robots from minute one with The Construct.
Now let’s go to the meat of the episode. Let me introduce you . Victor has a large career in building ROS-based companies. He was the founder of Erle Robotics the first company to deliver drones based on ROS, Alias Robotics, a company concentrated on providing security to ROS robots and now Acceleration Robotics which is a company concentrated on… let’s see what it is about.
