Description

What is a psychopath? Are all mass murderers psychopaths? Why do psychopaths do so well in the corporate world?

Dr Sohom Das is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist who lives and works in London. He assesses and rehabilitates mentally disordered offenders. In his career, he has rehabilitated and formally diagnosed clinical psychopaths.

Did you know about 1% of the general population is a psychopath? That number can be as high as 25% in male prisoners depending on the psychopath test used. In the first of a fascinating series of episodes on psychopaths, Dr Das explores the clinical definition of a psychopath, how this is assessed, and how it is diagnosed.

If you have any questions about mental illness or about psychopaths Dr Das would love to hear from you! Email at psychforsoreminds@gmail.com.

Look out for more videos in this series where Dr Das gives a case study of a former psychopathy patient who duped him and others with a shocking ending and hear what it's like to work for a psychopath.
