This is a song about not being the Anti-hero and about being seen but not being heard.
It's about being the underdog and feeling like you're always being looked at, judged, and looked down on, whereas on the inside you're struggling to feel like you belong.
The thing is that, on a deeper level, it's about not being able to speak up when things don't seem right when you feel like you're losing control when you feel like you don't have any control over the life you're living.
The song is about that feeling of needing to escape but not knowing where to go and the inability to do so.
