Social media is flooded with toxic positivity, which had detrimental effects on our mental health.

Toxic positivity refers to the cultural expectation or pressure to maintain a positive attitude, regardless of one's actual emotions or circumstances.

It involves the denial, minimization, or avoidance of negative emotions and experiences, promoting the idea that one should always be happy, optimistic, and grateful.

While promoting positivity is generally a good thing, toxic positivity becomes harmful when it dismisses or invalidates genuine human emotions, especially those that are considered negative or difficult.

It can lead to depression, coping mechanism, breakdown of relationships, health issues and much more!

There are much healthier way to process emotions and to gain a naturally authentic positive state, as explained in the video.
