At long last, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is here!

C8 edition.  Mid-engine.  American.  Supercar.  And all that feels good to say… or, write.

Because it’s been a long time coming.  And if it’s more tame sibling Stingray made a statement.  Then Z06 slaps an exclamation point at the end.

Since 1963, Z06 has been Corvette’s racetrack dominator.  Fast-forward 60 years.  And 2023 Z06 stays true to that form.

So for 2023 Corvette Z06 comes in six trims.  Or, two models.  Each with three trims.

Depending on how you look at the different configurations.  Which boil down to hard tops and convertibles.

That way you get exactly what you want.  Sure, you’ll need to wait.  But the wait will be worth it.

Because it’s all-new.  And created for Z06.

Because it’s an all-new 5.5-liter LT6.  Delivering the highest horsepower, naturally-aspirated V8 ever.  That’s in a production car here in the US.

So that motor puts out 670 horses, to be exact.  Along with a rubber-melting 460 lb-ft of torque.

Transmission

As with the C8 Corvette Stingray.  Only automatic transmission is available.

But that’s the new game with supercars these days.  Because we mere mortals cannot slap gears and kick clutches as well as technology.

So the trans is an M1L 8-speed dual-clutch automatic.  Paddle shifters, of course.

And even without a manual transmission option.  You won’t get bored behind the wheel, promise.

Fuel Economy

The official fuel economy rating of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette is who cares?!

Because when you’re pressing against the back of your seat.  Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6-seconds.  The last thing that matters is MPG!

What’s The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Look Like?

The 2023 Corvette Z06 looks like a supercar.  A beast to be specific.

With available carbon fiber ground effects and a rear spoiler.  Both of which are functional.  And by no means only for decoration.

Of course, they enhance the look of the vehicle.  But they’re designed to enhance performance.

Z06 has a stance that’s 3.6″ wider than Stingray.  Plus it has wider fenders on both the front and rear.  And that’s to accommodate huge 345-series tires.  Along with more airflow through side air vents.

Plus the front and rear fascias are specific to Z06.  And their designs are for optimal cooling.  Channeling air to the center heat exchanger.

Among the options for Z06 is a Z07 performance package.  Offering the greatest track capability.  With an impressive 734 pounds of downforce.  That’s while you’re buzzing the track at 186 mph.

And the 2023 Corvette Z06 curb weight comes in at 3,434 lbs.  Measuring with carbon fiber wheels.
