Lord Jesus, cause us to see that everything we try to enjoy apart from God is dog food, refuse, and dung. Save us from being "led by the nose" by Satan to feed on dung. Keep us turning to You. We come to You again and again to be under Your light, we apply Your precious blood, and we want to remain in the enjoyment of Christ. Oh Lord, apart from You we can do nothing! Cause us to see, dear Lord, that sin in us is a real controlling power, and whenever we set our mind to do good, sin overpowers us! Oh Lord, may we realize that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin! We need You, Lord, as our jubilee!
