Let's face it - job search is a vulnerable place to be. You face rejection, and you second-guess your ability. It's a shame pit if you do it all alone.
Frantic job search is like swiping on dating apps. If you come prepared with a job search strategy, you have a sense of direction that helps you weed out all unsatisfactory matches. You avoid getting into a rebound that can up your self-esteem momentarily but without adding substance to your career growth. Intention over desperation.
The Great Resignation during the Pandemic only accentuated the need for meaningful work which aligns with our values and aspirations.
In this episode, I’ll share my journey of looking for a job in the tumultuous tech market in the US and the framework of social search developed by Phyl Terry, which was a deal breaker in my job search strategy!
