257. My Hearing Aid Quest + Protecting and Supplementing our Hearing For Better Brain/Overall Health with Dr. Susan Krutt
Description
Wait, what did you say? Our hearing is potentially the single largest risk factor for dementia? And it's almost always treatable?? Why then do only 16% of those aged 20-69 who need hearing aids use them? Also, what's up with the new hearing aids built into the latest generation of AirPods? Where are we likely to encounter the loudest/most damaging sounds? What about the stigma of hearing aids? We're joined by Dr. Susan Krutt today -- the kind of practitioner you want on your health care team!
