Eduardo Longoria (@Portunus17) is the Co-Founder of Portunus Biotechnologies. He graduated from UT Austin Eduardo and has taken part in the building of a non-profit laboratory; Prophase Biostudios.

Having an interest in Biomaterials, Eduardo conducted the research that led to the first product of Portunus Biotechnologies; Chitosan for green crop protection. Eduardo continues to research biomaterials as part of his master's degree at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR). Part of this research is the development of a chitosan hydrogel mask that acts as a detection tool for COVID19.

Now with Portunus Biotechnologies securely installed in the Toledo Biopark; Eduardo and his partners are endeavoring to bring their Chitosan to market and continue developing novel and green solutions to agricultural problems.
