#280: Super Mario Bros. (1993)
Description
Videogame movies are known to be a bit rough. Some might even say that almost all of them are terrible. While that may not be true for today's videogame adaptations, it certainly was when Hollywood started to make them. And that's what we're checking out this week, the first-ever videogame movie: 1993's Super Mario Bros. Considered to be one of the worst films from the 90s, it stars Bob Hoskins as Mario, John Leguizamo as Luigi, Dennis Hopper as Bowser (kind of, not really), and may be one of the worst adaptations we've ever reviewed. It gets everything wrong. But is it really as unwatchable as many people think it is?
