Description

After the arrival of strange creatures who use their strong hearing to hunt, a family fights to stay alive by living their lives in silence.

A Quiet Place is directed by John Kraskinsi, who also stars in the film alongside Emily Blunt. While not his directorial debut, it's Krasinski's first horror movie and he makes an impact on the genre immediately. In what many, including us, believe is a modern day classic, Krasinski paints a sad world where a loving family is forced to live a silent existence in order to stay alive. This movie has so much going for it with excellent character development, interesting creatures, a theme of guilt that leads to an excellent conclusion, tense moments, and unique storytelling. The film doesn't overstay its welcome and while nobody expected something like this from Krasinski, it delivers in every way.
