Description

Many people tell me they struggle to know what to say, on dates and in relationships. They worry about offending people or not being smart or interesting enough. Today’s podcast guests, Patrick Short and Tiffany Crotty, have found a way to make communicating easier, and even more fun, and to help people be better.

If you’re not satisfied with your love or sex-life, and could use some insights into what makes women want more of you, tell me more about yourself here and we’ll schedule a time to talk: shanajamescoaching.com/consult

Show notes

Many people tell me they struggle to know what to say, on dates and in relationships. They want to be real, but are worried that could come across as too much. They worry their words will reveal they are not smart or interesting enough. They have desires they aren’t sure another person will feel good about.

It’s common to get frozen or tongue tied when you want to communicate something you fear will upset or offend a partner, or will make them want to leave you.

Today’s podcast guests, Patrick Short and Tiffany Crotty, have found a way to make communicating easier, and even more fun. They lead workshops and events that use improv exercises to help people get out of their own way and be more spontaneous and connected. They also perform in a show called Comedy Sportz, which I’ve had the pleasure of attending.

In this interesting and inspiring conversation we discussed…

* How to connect with the person who is actually in front of you, rather than being stuck in your fears or worries

* Relearning how to be a good person – supportive, collaborative, and a great listener

* The danger of making assumptions, and how this kills spark and connection

* The skill of making others look good, that works wonders in dating, marriage, parenting, etc.

* What to do when you think you’ve made a mistake, or said the wrong thing

When you’re done with this one, check out the Epic Love Giveaway package. I’m one of the experts who is providing resources for creating more love for yourself and your relationships, including support for dealing with anger, knowing your personal love style, crucial conversations for compatibility and more. Plus, the resources are free when you opt in.
