Description

Under det tidiga 40-talet retades Howard Hawks med sin kompis Ernest Hemingway och sa att han skulle göra en succéfilm av hans värsta bok, "To Have and Have Not". Filmen blev i slutändan mer uppmärksammad för förhållandet mellan Humphrey Bogart och Lauren Bacall än för något som kom från Hemingways bok. Så det fanns utrymme för ytterligare en filmatisering sex år senare. Det blev inte en lika stor succé, men den är defintivt mer trogen Hemingway och kanske även en bättre film?
