Val was bitten by mosquitoes into torpor, Evangeline inadvertently turned the swarm on herself, and Everett cleverly used pepper spray and the sprinkler system to finish them off. Meanwhile, in the sky, Doris used her final well of blood within her to frenzy and dealt the killing blow to Lucius Balefire. How will the coterie avoid the retribution of the remainder of Red Cell, The Pyramid 2.0, and the Prince?
