#31 - Evaluating What's Actually Effective Activism with Casey Taft
Description
Casey Taft, founder of Vegan Publishers and expert psychologist in the field of trauma, chats with me about his vegan journey and his work. Casey's new book, Motivational Methods for Vegan Advocacy: A Clinical Psychology Perspective, draws on his experiences as a psychologist and as a vegan advocate to explore what might actually help people become vegan. We discuss how and why big vegan organizations need to evaluate their activism and his experience encouraging them to assess their work. We also discuss the meaning of the word "effective" and how the Stages of Change model can be used to help connect with people.
