#36 Elections 101: It’s okay to be intimidated by politics ft Hannah Yeoh
Description
It’s okay, it really is OKAY to feel intimidated by politics. The jargon, the history, the coalitions, the ministries, the political figures…we know it can be overwhelming, and you should never feel guilty or condemned just because you don’t understand it.
In this episode of Head Over Heels, we invite Hannah Yeoh (Former Member of Parliament for Segambut and Former Deputy Minister of Women, Family & Community Development) to come onto the podcast to break it all down for us. From understanding what Undi Banjir means, and how elections work in Malaysia to revisiting the political crisis in 2020, and relearning what it truly means to vote as a Malaysian - we try to simplify it all for both you, and for US.
Producer note: Just as you are, we’re in this learning process with you. It’s okay to feel “dumb” or “inadequate”, we’re simply so incredibly proud of you for just SHOWING UP for Malaysia. We hope you remember that everything we do as citizens is for the generations to come; we’re all praying for a better tomorrow.
It’s raw, it’s real, it’s Head Over Heels.
