Description

This is the first in a 3 part mini series where we will learn about the teenage brain, its development and how to best support our teens with inborn errors of metabolism during this critical period.

In this first episode, our experts will discuss some broad concepts from the field of neuroscience - brain development and brain functioning and implications for how to be with teens. They will introduce the key developmental tasks of the teen years and some important skills teens need to become independent from their parents.

We will also address how this knowledge can be applied to the management of IEMs through the discussion of case studies.
