Description
Jerome Hardaway is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft and The Executive Developer of Vets Who Code, a nonprofit he founded in 2014. Jerome served in the Air Force for 5 years and then, like many veterans, realized how hard the transition from military to civilian life is, especially when it comes to finding a job.
When he left during the recession in 2009, he noticed that the tech field wasn’t hit as hard as other industries, which inspired him to take up coding. His transition into software engineering inspired him to help others in his situation along. Vets Who Code helps underrepresented members in the veteran community learn and break into tech.
