This week on Garry Talks – host Garry Kelly is joined by founder of ACT for Meningitis, Siobhan Carroll.
The Irish charity was set up in 2011 by Siobhan and Noel Carroll following the tragic loss of their daughter Aoibhe, aged just 4, to Meningitis.
In this podcast, Siobhan talks about her journey of grief and loss, but also the importance of educating and raising awareness of the disease. She talks about the challenges of running a charity and the different initiatives and events they have undertaken over the years to maintain the support to offer free support services to those affected by Meningitis throughout the country.
