I can usually make it through freakonomics episodes having gained some perspective on other worldviews. This one I had to stop halfway due to the acceptance of blatent doublespeak from the guest. The letter from Birmingham jail seems relevant as a whole but specifically this: "the white moderate who is more devoted to order than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension, to a positive peace which is the presence of justice;"
