Description
The most sustained and costly combat on the Manassas Battlefield swirled on this little hill, named for the family, whose matriarch became the first civilian casualty of the Civil War. Garry also visits Chinn Ridge, where the Union's last chance at victory in the first major land battle of the Civil War quickly turned into a retreat back through Sudley Springs Ford as the Confederate forces swept through the Ridge.
