9/21/25 - Embracing True Discipleship: Dying to Self to Live in Christ
Description
Letting go is never simple—whether it's the final whistle of a game, the turning of a tassel at graduation, or bidding farewell to someone we hold dear. Spiritually, the challenge is even greater. The recent tragedies of Iryna Zarutska's murder and Charlie Kirk's assassination confront us with a world steeped in anger, loss, and evil, tempting us to respond with raw, human instinct. Yet, Scripture calls us to a higher battle—not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:10 –12). In this message, we dive into the heart of following Jesus: denying ourselves (Matthew 16:24 ), losing our lives to find true life (Luke 9:24 –25), dying like a seed to bear fruit (John 12:24 ), and living crucified with Christ (Romans 6:6–7). True discipleship demands daily surrender, putting our flesh to death (Galatians 5:24 ) so our lives reflect Jesus, not ourselves. Join us as we discover how to die to self and truly live in Him.
