99. Teach Your Dog (And Your Brain) to Focus
Description
Jason *literally* crawls out of bed. There is no dread for the day that approaches, it is actually for the habit he is creating. First thing he does when he wakes up is study. It is a long time habit, and one that he loves. Recently he has had some trouble with his planter fasciitis (pain in his feet) and really should stretch first thing, but had a hard time making the habit. So instead of immediately putting pressure on his feet, he crawls out of bed to his desk and studies while he stretches. He is using crawling as a cue to start his day by stretching.
We use cue's constantly! Think of your phone, how often it goes off, and how hard it is to fight the urge to look at it. Now what does this have to do with your dogs focus?! Well, dogs have so many cues, they are keen to them. The doorbell, the treat bag opening, the noise of your keys, they have so many cues that it can be hard to stay on task and focus on one. We are going to teach you how to give more focus to your dog.
