And we’re back to spin a little yarn about mama and her sky blue ‘75 Ford pickup rolling down that dusty road out past dry as a bone old Watson Creek, which hasn’t seen water since those rains two summers back…now where was I? Oh, yeah, mama off to pick up some more feed and hay for them voracious chickens and Bluebell the loudest cow in the county then stop to get ice cream for them kids since they did their chores for a change and didn’t burn down the barn. Oh, them kids. Best part of the drive as usual is KRCJ playing Patsy, Hank, Tammy and Willie. They’ll make you forget about chores and chickens and pie. Oh, heavens! Mama left a pie in the oven! She’s gonna need a need a drink when she gets home if it’s still standing.
