Message: Ebenezer Scrooge had become hardened old man embittered by the world. He found an obsession of accumulating wealth his only true relief in life. Christmas, from his perspective, was the most absurd of holidays. He found the whole idea of celebrating joy in the midst of life’s hardships to be preposterous—or as he so famously declared, “Bah Humbug!” It took the hauntings from the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley, as well as the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present to shake him from his darkened perspective and opened his heart to learn the powerful truths that the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come had to teach him. Join with us as we share how each of us can learn the same deep truths about the true joy of Christmas—without the need for late night Christmas Eve hauntings.
