I always felt like I was a guest, not a daughter or sister to these two people. The lies, playing the victim was what they were always good at. Until I had the courage to walk away and end the relationship for good. A guest in a broken relationship, walking on eggshells or pretending everything was okay became my best friend. The littlest thing could set these people off. A lecture of how my life should be, if I didn’t do it. I never once existed to them. I was kicked out four times. My college career was almost ruined due to the fact that I would have to start over all my credits I earned at different colleges, because it wouldn’t transfer if I left to go be with my dad. I stayed with my mom the remainder of my senior year to earn the sixty credits I needed to continue my college career. The most painful decision I ever had to make or due, all I wanted to do my last two years of high school was disappear.
