Update: 2025-11-30
Description
On November 30th, 2025, Jeeno Thitikul capped a historic week by winning the CME and breaking a 23-year-old scoring record, while Rory McIlroy called for an end to the "butt hurt" feelings over LIV Golf.
LPGA TOUR: A LEGENDARY RECORD FALLS
- Jeeno Thitikul overcame a wrist injury to win the CME Group Tour Championship, securing the largest prize in women's golf ($4M) and the World No. 1 ranking. But the real story was her historic Vare Trophy win.
- Thitikul set the lowest scoring average in the LPGA's 75-year history (68.681), breaking Annika Sorenstam's record that stood for 23 years.
- Just two months after crying over a loss, Thitikul won it all despite entering the week with the simple goal to "be able to finish four rounds."
PGA TOUR / LIV: RORY'S "IRRATIONAL" TRUTH BOMB
- Rory McIlroy didn't hold back on LIV Golf, calling their estimated "$5 or 6 billion" in spending "irrational." His message to fellow pros, however, was one of reconciliation, urging everyone to move forward together.
- "If you have butt hurt feelings, you just have to get over it." - Rory McIlroy's new message to players on both sides.
- A new data point shows the power shift, with seven of the top eight longest hitters in golf for 2025 now coming from the LIV tour.
DP WORLD TOUR: MIN WOO'S BIG SHIFT
- Down under at the Australian PGA Championship, Min Woo Lee is making noticeable changes. He's physically bulking up and mentally shifting his focus from outcomes to a more disciplined, process-driven approach on the course.
- On his new physique: "My shirts are getting a little tight, which is a good thing."
- The fan favorite is trading some of his flashy, high-risk shots for a more measured strategy he hopes will lead to more consistent results.
