Betty Jarusiewicz, PhD was the first doctor to investigate the use of neurofeedback with autism in a research setting. Her Pilot study was instrumental in setting the field of neurofeedback upon the path of optimizing and assisting the brains of people with autism.
Dr. Betty, as she prefers to be called, is in her eighties now and selectively retired. She is happy to reminisce over the process and complications related to helping people with autism using neurofeedback.
Dr. Betty is herself on the ASD spectrum. However, she did not have a name for her challenges until well into adult life.
As such she was one of those people who discovered and helped others in the process of attempting to discover and help herself. Thus, Dr. Betty was instrumental in assisting Lynette to do the same, simply by blazoning the path.
