This interview is based on a paper written for Liberty University for their Bound Away: The Liberty Journal of History Vol. 1, Issue 2, Article 3. Today we interview the author of this paper. We discuss the First Great Awakening and its profound effect on the colonies in early America and leading to the Declaration of Independence. The seeds of self government and political autonomy were planted. There is a rich Christian heritage of our nation which inspired the American Revolution.
