Then God sent his prophets, Haggai and Zechariah, to stir up the people once again. Through the preaching of God's word, the people were empowered to finish the building project, and they prospered under God's watchful care. All of this was possible through faith in the promise that God had not forgotten them, and they still had a glorious future ahead of them.
