On September 1st, 2019 hurricane Dorian made landfall in the Abaco islands in the Bahamas. Raquel Riley is a survivor of Hurricane Dorian. She came on the podcast to talk about her harrowing story of survival and resilience, the people of the Abacos and how the islands are doing more than a year later. The suffering continues as their own government has abandoned them after the hurricane and through the pandemic. Raquel shares what she believes after she and her family fought to survive.
