Tonight’s guest, Aaron Nicely, has been roaming the mountains of Virginia since he was 5 years old. Some of his fondest memories are of the times his grandpap used to take him into the mountains to teach him the way of the woods. His grandpap is gone now, but the memories remain. After learning so much about the woods from his grandpap and spending so much time in the mountains on his own, Aaron had a familiarity with the woods that left him feeling like he knew just about everything there was to know about them. One day, while he was turkey hunting, though, he found out how wrong he was about that. He still had a lot to learn. That’s a lesson he learned, definitively, that day.
