Description

Pete talks about the Cotton industry in the North of England from the 1930's to the late 50's. Talks about the Gas turbine engine works and Frank Whittle. Pete talks about the thriving Dairy industry when he was younger. The Silent night bedding company, UK‘s largest. How the Rover company became Rolls Royce. The Rolls Royce works employed 5,000 people at their height, now only 350. Working for the Bannister Family.
Pete starts his independant life by driving Bulldozers, then trucks.
Pete Gardner forms his own transport company delivering all over the UK and parts of Europe.
Pete owned 12 Truck units and 14 trailors. 
Pete travelled to America, then sells his transport company.
