In this episode, we had the opportunity to catch up with Tracy Weathery from Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.

Tracy Weatherby is the Vice President of Strategy & Advocacy for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, one of the largest food banks in the country. Second Harvest provides food assistance through over 300 partners in over 900 locations including schools, colleges, and affordable housing complexes. Tracy shared with us an update on what is going on in the world of Food Banks. They had to adjust their services, not only because of the pandemic, but also because of SB 1383 (https://calrecycle.ca.gov/organics/slcp/). This law requires the increase of food recovered for human consumption that otherwise would have gone to waste.
