Description

In the following episode American actor Daniel Sea („The L Word“) and Georgian filmmaker Elene Naveriani („Wet Sand“) are in conversation with the Austrian film scholar Andrea Braidt. A perspective is discussed that explores the relationship between queerness, ethics and representation. What does queer-feminist cinema teach us? How does perspectivation construct gender? How can we express subjectivity? How can we unlearn the narrative of dominant cinema and develop a queer cinematic language that refrains from stereotyping and the production of essentialist content? How can directors develop ethical approaches in dealing with marginalised communities? What are the responsibilities of film political movements?
