in a q & a today Cody confirmed that the Open challenge for the TNT title means ANYONE even non aew challengers can answer the title shot. This could possibly set up Zach ryder challenging.
Jericho had an interview with sports illustrated to hype his feud with tyson. He said he is hoping it will be a boxing match or street fight. Also mentioning that boxing/wrestling matches don't work like with piper/mr. T so it needs to be boxing jericho vs cabana because cabana held jericho back from tyson. He said it doesn't really matter about the match it's the story leading up to it.
Clutch adams vs Shawn Spears match was pulled from dark cody confirmed due to homophobic tweets from adams. Since then adms twitter has been changed or deleted.
Cody also discussed when a fan asked about the treatment of their black talent. He replied about how scorpio sky was one of their first cjampions as well as having "the only black executive in wrestling."
Former GCW champ AJ gray called AEw out on twitter saying that aew basically isn't hiring black wrestlers that are equally as good if not better than some of talent in Aew. AEW didn't comment on grays tweet.
Moxley has a tailbone bruise but isn't expected to miss anytime.
